This week in MATH we are learning place value.  

Extra practice worksheets will be sent home.  Encourage your child to complete these exercises.

This week in READING we are learning how to find the central message of a folk tale, fable, or myth.

Please encourage your child to read these types of stories at home.  Ask them what the central message or main idea of the story is about.

This week in WRITING we will be writing our own opinion pieces and backing up our opinions with supporting facts.

At home, you can ask your child their opinion on a particular topic, such as longer recess.  Then ask them to give you reasons supporting their position.
